A Princess in Our Eyes

Our little Ava was a star as she rode in the Slater parade dressed as a beautiful princess.  Although she did not "win," she was and will continue to be a princess in our eyes!

Getting ready to go...I tried doing an "up" do for her hair and it turned out great!  Her flower girl dress from Lindsey's wedding was a perfect look for this occasion.

Stephanie (Ava's queen) and Ava in front of their brand new Camero convertible.  Who wouldn't want to ride in that!  They were sponsored by the Forget Me Not Birthday Club.

They were both beautiful!

Ava and Stephanie riding in the parade...she LOVED this!

She had a HUGE cheering section!

Happy as a clam after the parade!

Grandpa's turn

Isaiah wanted to hold Simba on his back just like Grandpa was holding Ava

The stage all decorated for the 4th.

A princess to us!

As I was putting these pictures on here I realized that with all that was going on, I didn't take any of the family gathering we had at our house after the parade.  How crazy!  We had 19 people here!  It doesn't get any better than a day with family!  Happy belated 4th!

...up tomorrow...pictures from Adventureland...we went there yesterday!

My Three Happy's:
1) Unpacking some boxes in my classroom today while the kids napped...we had to move rooms this year...so it's like starting all over again.  This is my 11th year...crazy how time flies!
2) Andy's grandparents are having a garage sale this weekend and we're bringing lots of things...including our counter top kitchen table and 4 chairs...make way for my 2nd dream table from Pier One!
3) Watching the kids run around the front yard tonight trying to catch fireflies...it was so fun to watch them spot one, rush over, and if they did catch it...they felt so proud.
