Slater...what's not to like about this amazing town! We host the 4th of July in our community every year and it's a pretty popular place to be. From bands and mud volleyball, to parades and talent contests, from food vendors to carnivals...there is something for everyone. The best part...we can walk to everything and watch the fireworks from our backyard. Love it!
It's been a tradition every year to have a Kiddie Parade where kids decorate their bikes, wagons, strollers, gators...whatever they may have, and parade a few blocks to the local park. This was held on Saturday morning.
Ava and Isaiah the night before getting their bags of candy ready to throw as they ride their bikes. They only actually threw a few pieces...I took the large bag we had and tossed it to the kids that were watching.
The front of Ava's bike. Isn't it funny how the balloons ended up...a "Hidden Mickey!"
Mr. Isaiah's bike all decorated

Love you Bootles
This farmer led the parade with his dressed up geese...they were pretty cute!

At the end of the parade they always give away milk for the kids...Isaiah enjoying his chocolate milk.
Ava loving hers too...she loves milk even more than her brother.
At the park they had this balloon stand where kids could choose a balloon shape/animal. Ava chose a purple poodle and Isaiah wanted a yellow sword...go figure.
Off to the little carnival for some rides
Julie and Isabelle...she loved this ride and didn't want to get off!
A mini merry-go-round
They loved these swings!
Yet another ride!
Climbing up to the slide...Isaiah wanted Daddy to go with him.
Ava went VERY fast!
My two boys all smiles
What's a carnival without playing a game or two. Ava won this pink/purple rhino.
Isaiah won a super sized hammer!
My Three Happy's are at the bottom of the next post.
Next...a princess in our eyes...
